Grave Tales

Every headstone in our 1732 burial ground is a book that contains a story, sometimes many stories…

We hope you’ll join us for this educational and fascinating tour of our burial yard which start at 5:30 PM and leave the church every half hour with the last tour at 8:30 PM. You can hear, first-hand, some of the stories directly from the departed!

There is a special daylight tour at 1:00 for those who do not feel comfortable walking in the dark.

We suggest you wear sensible walking shoes, bring a flashlight and dress weather appropriate.

Admission payable at the door, is $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for seniors/students/or church members.

Wreaths Across America, Christkindl Markt, & Hymn Sing

Wreaths Across America gathering at 12 noon at the flagpole for a ceremony and the placing of the wreaths for 75 of our Old Gosh veterans

Old Gosh Christkindl Markt – From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in our Fellowship Hall support missions and ministries at our market filled with an array of items ready for giving. Maybe grab a snack! Bring a food item to be delivered to those in need in time for Christmas.

The 1732 Gemeinhaus will be open for private tours upon request from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Hymn Sing – At 4 p.m., gather at the firepit for the singing of traditional Christmas Carols as we close out our day of Remembrance, Giving and Worship.

The Old Goshenhoppen Church – A Journey Through Time

Join Bruce Stocking, historian for the Old Goshenhoppen Church, as he takes you on an in-depth tour of the church’s history from the 1730 founding to the most modern iteration in 1915. We ask that you wear comfortable and sturdy walking shoes as this tour will move from the hall and outside to the Gemeinhaus and other surprising spots. The $5.00 suggested minimum donation per person is payable at the door, will benefit the Friends of the Gemeinhaus and our ongoing restoration project. For more information, call 610-630-0912

Plant Sale

Historical Roots! The Friends of the Gemeinhaus are launching our very first plant sale on Saturday, May 29th from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Old Goshenhoppen Church pavilion. We will be selling herbs and plants that would have been used in the early Colonial period in America. Each plant will be accompanied by a brief history so you can feel like a certified plant historian as you watch these beauties grow.

Ask a Master Gardener! Master Gardener Rose Kramer will be on hand to ask all of your gardening questions to prepare you for this season upon us!
